Abstract:

This article is divided in three sections:

1. Computer music: this part is an analysis of the orchestral work, Achorripsis by Iannis Xenakis
2. Musical analysis with computer (Greussay, Leipp, Barbaud): musical structure detection and spectral analysis
3. Sound synthesis with computer: a brief presentation of digital synthesis with MUSIC V and hybrid synthesis (the GROOVE system) and a description of the ideal synthesizer.
