Abstract:

This short work presents the birth and the evolution of electronic music in Stockholm. The first part contains some general ideas on electronic music (definition, terminology, choice of the term for this work) and electronic music in Sweden at the time of publication, the role of this music in education and apresentation of different types of concerts. The second part focuses on the Stockholm’s Electronic Music Studio (EMS)’s growth, its evolution and relationships with other institutions
