The authors present two examples of gesture captors in works composed at IRCAM in 1997. After an introduction on captor definition for music, they analyse their technical implementation of OROC.pat by Roland Auzet for Zarb and live electronics and Eluvion Etude by Lucia Ronchetti for alto violin and live electronics.
