Abstract:

The authors explore new digital electroacoustic instruments before introducing their instrument, the Meta-instrument. Whereas other instruments are imperfect and are not adapted to a musical use, the Meta-instrument is a MIDI gestural interface with some captors adapted to the human body. The authors explain how this instrument can be used in pedagogy and describe another new instrument based on MIDI captors.
