Abstract:

This paper contains two parts: a short historical survey of the electroacoustic instrument and a presentation of the CG3D program. The first part details the characteristics of classical instruments, the main electroacoustic instruments and devices from the 1920s to the 1980s and the new instruments since 1990 using MIDI captors. The second part presents the CG3D program which transcribes hand movements into control signals for musical parameters. This interface is particularly adapted to multimedia and choreographic projects.
