Abstract:

Graphic interfaces of music software are missing originality and limit the creativity of composers. The author studies different software interfaces (Protools, PureData, Open Music) and proposes his concept of the compositional object to determine what interface is needed by specific creative gestures. The concepts of interface and graphical representation prove essential to the electroacoustic music composer.
