Abstract:

The author compares digital synthesis to analog synthesis. He analyses the main pros and cons for the musician and introduces the different MUSIC V commands. The last part explains how to encode a musical instrument listing in this program. MUSIC V gives an opportunity to control a polyphonic musical discourse contrary to most then current digital synthesis programs.
