The French CFMI (Centre de Formation de Musiciens Intervenants) was created in 1983 to prepare musicians’ visits to primary schools. These institutes use Schaefferian theory as its pedagogical orientation. The musicians are educated in electroacoustic music and study problems concerning perception using Schaeffer’s experimental method.
