Abstract:

The GMVL (Groupe Musiques Vivantes de Lyon), created in 1975, worked in the field of electroacoustic music animations (1970s-1980s) visiting institutions ranging from primary schools to universities. In the 1990s, the composers decided to edit books on music to inform the public about electroacoustic music. This paper presents their history and how their work was relationshiped to Schaeffer’s experimental research.
