Abstract:

The author studies the visual representation of sound objects. After a first part on Schaeffer’s visual representation in his Traité des objets sonores and his journal, she presents Bertin’s graphic semiology and analyses some examples of electroacoustic music visual representations and artistic paintings to identify corresponding concepts.
