Abstract:

The author presents an introduction concerning computer tools used by Iannis Xenakis at EMAMu (Équipe de Mathématiques et d’Automatique Musicale created in 1966). In five parts, he presents how Xenakis use the FORTRAN programming language and MUSIC V for sound synthesis. To conclude, he proposes potential future research options.
