Since 1988, the author works with hybrid techniques. This paper presents his research at IRCAM and the use of hybrid techniques in the piece Préfixes. To conclude, the author briefly develops his concept of “nouvelle mixité” (new mixture), an adaptation of hybrid synthesis in instrumental works.
