Abstract:

This article offers a broad spectrum of succinct, accessible definitions concerning basic concepts and techniques related to, in the first instance, the composition of spectral music. However, these terms are also applicable to other forms of electroacoustic music and digital/electronic production techniques in general. The article is presented in an appendix-like style, divided into several major categories, each of which is presented as a succession of major terms, ideas or techniques that build upon one another.
