In this article, the author reflects on a mass soudwalk undertaken by two hundred students in the city of Wiesbaden (Germany) on April 21, 1999 (International Noise Awareness Day) at the opening of the City Voices project. She contextualises her discussion through some of the concepts of acoustic ecology, giving a particular focus to the pedagogic value of the soundwalk experience.
