Abstract:

In this article, the authors discuss problems concerning the technical means of creating an automated sound spatialisation system. After outlining the musical motivations for composed spatiality, they discuss considerations pertinent to the control of directional sound cues from both technological and psychological perspectives. They then present a working prototype of a new system.
