Abstract:

In this article, the author presents some of the thoughts and observations of William Buxton, Joel Chadabe, Morton Subotnik and Gregory Kramer on the peculiar problems facing the composer and performer of electroacoustic music. A particular focus is given to the audience’s experience and understanding of performed electroacoustic music.
