In this article, the author critically discusses Pietro Grossi’s, Paganini Al Computer, a computer realised musical work that is based on the compositional style of Paganini. From this initial discussion the author proceeds to offer his thoughts on the legitimacy of computer realised music and the relationships between the computer and the composer during the compositional act.
