Abstract:

In this chapter, the author presents a detailed structural, poietic (production-based) analysis of Luigi Nono’s first composition for tape, Omaggio a Emilio Vedova (1960). Sonograms and amplitude graphs are used to illustrate and contextualise the analysis.
