Abstract:

In this article, the author explores real-time and gestural monitoring in the production of synthesised sound via the computer in more depth than what he considers to be the usual purely superficial ergonomic considerations. From this he presents functional specificities that should be included in the conception and design of a computer assisted musical creation system based on concepts of instrumental gesture.
