In this article, the author discusses the many ways in which computer music and video can be combined and made interdependent in particular works of art. He offers a brief overview of some of the issues in music representation and mapping, and discusses the artistic strategies that he has employed using a cross-media approach in his works; When Timbre Comes Apart (1992-95), Concrete Net (1996), Planet (Terra) (1988, 1996), and Construction Drive (2005).
