Abstract:

From Julia Kristeva’s intertextuality theory, the author develops the notion of “intervocalité”. The artificial voice is born through the melange of voice and machine. It becomes a new type of voice, separate from the body, with a focus on its transformations. The theory of “intervocalité” explains the relationships between the real voice and its avatars, the musicologist analyses these relations as a continuum.
