Through the works of Pierre Boulez, Roland Auzet, Brice Pauset, Philippe Manoury, Jean-Claude Risset, and the technological development from 4X to jMax systems, the author discusses the various possibilities of real-time musics that are created in IRCAM (Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique).
