One of the innovative aspects of electroacoustic music is the possibility to separate the source from the cause. The author develops her theory on re-presentation as a sonic presentation of an original sound source. Through two works, Solitioude and Motion-Emotion, the author analyses François Bayles’s sound images that appear when the recognition of sound source is ambiguous, allowing one to focus on non-sounding analogies such as motion, energy or space.
