Abstract:

In this article, the authors present an analysis of Iannis Xenakis’ algorithmic composition ST/10-1 080262. They utilise an ’analysis by modelling’ system, focussing on two particular features of the work: the underlying quantisation processes, and the process of fusion in dense textures.
