Interdisciplinary Artistic Work , Sound ArtAbstract:
In this second chapter of this reference edited by de la Motte, the author investigates the context of sound art from both philosophical and aesthetic points of view. Borrowing Gernot Böhme’s concept of the expanded concept of aesthetics (erweiterte Ästhetik). This broadening influences not only our understanding of aesthetics, but equally allows for new forms of interdisciplinary artistic practice to emerge such as the various manifestations of sound art.
