Abstract:

In this paper, the authors describe the intentions, design, and functionality of an Acousmatic Composition Environment that allows novices to record, mix, manipulate and compose with sounds of everyday life. This system is designed to introduce the user to reduced listening processes and to educate their auditory curiosity.
