In this paper, the author offers an overview of the state of the art of electroacoustic music in Britain (ca. 1985). He discusses why he feels Britain lags behind the European Continent and the USA in its ability to produce and widely disseminate electroacoustic music. Following this article is a series of selected Q&A discussions between the author and attendees at the session in which he presented the paper.
