The author develops the idea that techno music is not only music but is also full of narrative. From Kraftwerk’s scenographies to the fictional power of hip-hop, these musics produce fictions. Through the eight chapters, Bastien Gallet discusses these narratives and fictions and investigates the sounds of electronica including precursors such as Varèse linking them to the listening philosophy of Nietzsche or the sonic fiction theory of Kodwo Eschun.
