Abstract:

The author explains the reasons behind two common ideas concerning the relationship between image and sound: the image is better perceived than sound, and the composer rarely compares the process of sound realisation to that of film realisation. He concludes with a short presentation of GRM’s working methods to create sound and image simultaneously.
