The author analyses the genre of sound sculpture. From the 1970s to recent realisations, he details the main characteristics of this art through the notion of the object and the exigency of technology. To conclude, he attempts to define sound sculpture in three parts (an art of time, an art of space and an art of scenography), supporting his definition using various precursors from antiquity.
