Abstract:

The author describes an automatic loudspeaker orchestra. This system contains 53 loudspeakers and is able to reproduce automated spatial motions. This system is used for electroacoustic concerts but also for sound installations. The author explains the relationship between the musical necessity of diffusion when using loudspeaker orchestra systems and the technical aspects of this system.
