Following an introduction to the history of pitch culture, the author analyses the birth of space culture from polyphonist composers like Monteverdi to recent research. To exemplify his analysis, he presents recent experiences of the loudspeaker orchestra - the sound cupolas. These cupolas should be built in several cities for concerts or sound installations and consist of a sphere of 100-180 loudspeakers that are controlled by a computer.
