Abstract:

The GMEM (Marseille - France), an electroacoustic music studio was founded in 1969. It was re-baptized in 1997 as the Centre National de Musique Contemporaine. The author offers an overview of this studio through its festival, its compact disc editions, its pedagogical activities, and its major composers.
