Abstract:

After a short introduction concerning the origins of computer music, the author defines the role of the computer in music creation through two ideas: the relationship between instrument and computer, and the essential notions that do not change with technological evolution. He also presents his CORDIS system, a gestural interface incorporating energy feedback.
