Abstract:

The Duel for piano and live electronics by Srdjan Hofman is based on relationships between electronic and non-electronic sounds, original and unoriginal material, folkloric and non-folkloric musical material. The electronic sounds play the role of an instrument. The author discusses these relationships through an analysis of the form of the work.
