Abstract:

Scherchen describes early methods of electroacoustic multi-channel recoring based on the production and recording of three works: Lehrstück (Hindemith, Brecht), Moses und Aron (Schoenberg) and Erwartung (Schoenberg). He describes the placement of microphones, the utilised recording equipment as well as the results.
