Abstract:

In this article, the author discusses his sound installation The Calling to Come commissioned by the Museum of Sydney (Australia). The author describes the technique of scripting, the style of direction, and the use of environmental sound in the work. He also discusses the political implications of the work, and public reaction to the installation.
