Algorithm Chaos Theory Generative Music Algorithmic Music

In this article, the author discusses the theoretical and practical means by which models of music composition can be implemented in a computer system through the use of generative algorithms. This process seeks to create a system whereby computers can be used by composers not simply as tools, but as collaborative partners in the actual creative process of composition.
