Abstract:

In this paper, the author utilises his realisations of Alvin Lucier’s I’m Sitting in a Room and Karlheinz Stockhausen’s Mikrophonie I as case studies in support of his discussion concerning the creation of new, live versions of existing electroacoustic works.
