Abstract:

In this chapter, the author describes the intimate relationship she feels between herself as a soundscape composer and the environmental materials with which she creates her work. She exemplifies her relationship with sound through a series of written transcriptions of several of her recordings during which she described or verbally interjected in relation to the soundscape being recorded at the time.
