Abstract:

Bhakti is a short work for eight channels composed in 1980 by Jonathan Harvey at IRCAM. The composer used MUSIC V and CHANT to manipulate the sounds of a boy’s voice and a bell. The authors describe the composition processes with a focus on computer manipulations.
