Abstract:

The author presents the Polytopes works by Iannis Xenakis realised in 1960s and 1970s. The particularities of theses works consist in the mixing of several layers of sound and light into an existing architecture or, for Centre Pompidou’s Polytope (Paris), a specially designed space. The author focuses on relationships between sound, light and the different spaces.
