The author initially presents a brief history of electrical and electronical musical instruments and computer musical systems. After this introduction, he analyses the various musical and technological directions in France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, and Sweden. To conclude, he discusses the place of the listener and the commercial use of recording techniques.
