Intrinsic Morphology and Imposed Morphology

A dualism proposed by Trevor Wishart that refers to the morphology of a sound in terms of the acoustic behaviour or response of a physical sounding body (intrinsic) in relation to the effect of human physicality (i.e. energy input) on a sound’s evolution through time (imposed).
