Morphology

Structure, Musical [Str]  ]

Morphology is the general configuration, form and material of sonic events as they are perceived. The term particularly refers to the evolution of sounds through time. Applied to soundscape studies, it refers to changes in groups of sounds with similar forms or functions when considered historically or geographically.
